LIDICKEN 1975 Aug 29 cont. Went directly to I & B for chat with George West. Then talked with Bud Fay. Jerry & the went to a souvenir shop in town, passing Stokely out by Maureen. Then home for Bartman movie snacks. Jerry led to tool a class from 1900 - 2200. I borrowed his car, went to airport to get my civ ticket adjusted, & then went to INF lab. Steve & I finished processing the remaining 14 live species & then we packed all our frozen specimens (68 + 4 = 72) in 5 lbs. of dry ice & then this box inside a larger one with styrofoam insulation. Back to Wolffs about 2300 for picking up bags; took ~ 2330. The box & specimens was placed in Jerry's freezer overnight. Aug 30 Jerry took me to airport for 0810 flight to Anchorage. Took taxi to U.S. Fish & Wildlife Office (4454 Business Park Blvd.) where I had an appointment with Ancel M. Johnson who is in charge of research on sea otters. Had a pleasant & productive chat with him. He seems anxious to cooperate in getting blood & tissues for me. Then I took a taxi to the Alaska Fish & Game Office (333 Raspberry Rd, #C 5th. just S of International Airport Rd.). Here I chatted with Don Caulkins who works on sea lions. He would like to cooperate in sending frozen tissues for analysis of bone structure. He then took me to the
