Trophis 0755. No rai - during the 2 days but
was a lot of condensation.
Picked up trap pair in mature forest. Catch: 1
C.r (WZL). At the 1st try with WZL-4 M.x,
J.W.-2 M.x +1 C.r, SW-5 M.x (3 gwd held
in the traps). Second try with: WZL-1 micrurus
(?) oeconomus, 1 C.r. in live trap. On kill-trap:
1 M.o. +3 M.x +1 old, try out off. JW (gwd on
edge w gwd.) -4 M.o +1 C.r. in live traps +2 C.r.
in snaps (+1 old. out off). SW-3 M.x. (1 dead) in
live traps +1 M.o +1 C.r. in snap traps (w gwd.).
Thus the only M.o taken at this site is of the set, was
the one 2 complete in the same number as M.x; photo
taken of this animal. On the younger grove: WZL-3
cottonwoods
M.o on edge +4 C.r (1 on edge +3 in forest). JW-
3 C.r. (cottonwoods) +4 C.r. (edge). SW-1 C.r.
+ 1 S&c. juncea (forest). At the bog site: WZL-1 C.r,
SW -1 Cr and J.W.-1 Sorex. We had nothing in our
traps around the pond. Saw group of Banks Swallows over
around Kress Creek. Catch for morning =49 animals for
total of 68. Summary of catch:
Micrurus xanthognathus -31 (20 alive)
micrurus oeconomus -11 (5 alive)
clothiononyx mutilus -25 (7 alive)
