LIDICKER 1975 July 27 cont. Specids. I got 15 (10 on edge of S = least), Jerry got 15 + 3 teen, 0. A little to the N. of the Creek (~12) he turned W up to the top of a small hill with a dead top because of quarrying. On way up hill we stopped in modern open farm to pick out 5 new Miss. Sp. This made a total of 140 trap sets. Before we began setting traps we had gone to the top of the N side hill and saw two small tanks, because it had been threatening to rain all the time. Now we had our dinner. At ~21:15 we looked at to check on live traps. At the first site (2130-2145) (4.3 mi. N Hiss Ct. Bridge) we caught: WZL - 4 m. xanthogrammus; SW - 3 mx + JW - 2 mx All traps had 2 of Jerry's live reeds. Lots of grazing still is evident, a parrot seen on both visits. At the 2nd site (3.8 mi. N. Hiss Ct. Bridge), we caught (2200): WZL - Clathriomys nuttius - 2 (lim trap) 4 micrurus xanthogrammus (skip traps); SW - 1 C.r. + 1 m. x = live trap + 1 micrurus (prob.) geonomus in snap trap; JW - 1 C.r. (live). All full live traps did up + Miss. sp. re-set. Back at camp, saw a N. Skrike & took 2 photos of sunset at 22:15. Got to bed ~2300 even though it was still light.
