LIDICKEN 1975 March 24 cont. Still raining when we went to sleep. Since it rained all day & mostly hard, we did not see too many birds, but here is the list: Cor. Lark - 1 Canvasback - 15+ Eared Grebe - 2+ Scaup - 20+ [illegible] Pied U. Grebe - 4+ Bufflehead - 8+ Gt. B. Heron - 2 Ruddy Duck - 2 W. Grebe - 1+ T. Vulture - 52v. Shore Hawk - 1 T. Solitaire - 2 B. Kingfisher - 2 Steller's Jay - 1 R. Sl. Flier - 10+ Winter Wren - 1 Downy Woodpecker - 1 Robin - 20+ Red-sided Towhee - 1 Song Sparrow - 52v. March 25 Up at 0720 & it was not raining. Very cold - hardly above freezing or below. Grass in meadows was still a bit frozen. Had breakfast at the tent to get on track, while we eventually found out were at 4 mi. S Salmon. Catch: Micrurus tomzandii - 6 R. Hirtatentus ingolati - 2 Paronyxus truei - 1 Some of my traps had rainlets running through them. We processed the morning's catch on the spot as 1 Micrurus was working & another died. Started on again about 1130. Drove to Grant's Pass 1.3 mi. S of Salmon saw a Sciurus griseus DAR. Took Introdan 50S over Siskiyou Pass. The road was wet & with a little snow, but claims
