The rain stopped briefly during the night & at one point we even had a glimmer of the sun. Today weather went from helium to heavy rain all day & all night!!
After lunch went to the Dry lagoon traps & picked up ticks:
Cat'd: M: cuetus - Oregonus-2, M: longiculus 8
Pronghorn mericulatus -> Sorex -1 (Krohn)
Residualator magnatikus -1
Locality: Dry Lagoon State Park, 3 1/2 mi. S, 2 3/4 W. Orick.
Caught also 1 Night in the grass while digging trap.
The first trip at Big Lagoon (8 mi. S, 2 1/2 mi. W Orick)
Cat'd: Yung - 1 Mic longiculus + 1 P. mericul.
Krohn - 1 P. minor
Lid. - 3 P. manic. + 1 Sorex.
We released all the Pronghorns except 1 of mine.
Then we drove N to the Kane Rd. turnoff when we stopped & processed animals until ~1315. Had lunch & proceeded N. JD was enjoying going through redwood country in the rain. Dr Crescent City we got a tank of gas & then took US 199 toward Grants Pass.
