L.DICKER 1975 March 23 cont. quite a list of micraters sign, many often slightly larger & less distinct than those of m.californicus. We took set 16 longwalks to the S. Streams for totals of: WZL-20, DK-16, SY-12 = 48 total. Park ranger asked to see our collecting permit but were very friendly. Caught - Hylophilus hen. (4+15) The we drove back S to where a road extended between the road & a large lagoon. Here we took set 14 leg. Sh. for a total of 42 trips. Lots of Sylviidae sign here & notable count of what may be micrateres sign. This gave us 90 trips out, & by this time we were all pretty beat. So we drove N. looking for a complete Trail old State Highway Rd. and the E. side of a lake (fear i:15 S. of Orick), & camped along side it's road overlooking the S. end of the lake. Had our first real meal of the day, & then descended nice until down 2:02-ya. Bird list: W. G.uber - 6+ Pied M. Guba -1 Gd. Blue Hron - 2 Scomp. -20+ Swig Scotte - 15+ Ruddy Duck - 2 Coast - 1 Killeror - siv. (Upper) Amme's Humming bid - 5+ Can. Egret - 1 Pint: 1- 1 (DK) Curve stek - 20+ Con. Merganser - 1 fr. (Dt.-Gd R.) T. Vultur - 25+ Red Ht Hawk - 3 Sparrow Hawk - 15+ w. Red Swifts - few. Kingfisher - 3+
