L.DICKER 1975 Mach 23 cont. Clothiaways occ:details. Sub + I did not catch anything although almost all my traps were disturbed - either knocked over or the hook opened. Had lunch just within the benefit of water. Drive to Green Creek Respite (sign on bridge does say Green Creek). Here we camped 9 miners below the road, 4 on road side & 3 more a little further below the waterfall - total = 16. Took 4 photos & area. The we went to try inside at Rockfest Brewery & did not find them. But Sub + I lost 1 dy. 5L. this was [illegible] quantity amount of something. Catch: Microtus californicus - 26 (not cleaned for trip yet) Reithrodontomy neogalestis - 5 Peromyscus mericanus - 1 Total = 32 Total catch for morning = 2 + 16 + 32 = 50 Saw chipmunk run across the road between our campsite (2 day) & the house. Did foraging at Rockfest Brewery, also deer tracks. Drive into Loggatt. Only a little more left along the road now. Bought a tank of gas & filled our water tank. The discovered that our water pump wouldn't work. Took it apart, & not finding anything loose, put it back together. On Highway 101, we had to wait for a 15 min. to get by a slides that had blocked the highway. Drive to Eureka: stopped & bought a cheap plastic water jug for siphoning water from our water tank into. Continued N. on 101. At Dry Legoon State Park next trip around the entrance, including a bank of highway fill. Found
