Sept. 17 cat.
The only place when he could consistently find

Interesting birds seen in the Tatra:

Had good dinner in the hotel: won't buy so Polski's beer

Sept. 18
Arrived at the Inst. of Animal Ecology at ~0845.
My seminar on "Ecology and social behavior of the tawny
vole" was scheduled for 0915. Met Henryk Szarski
who is herpetologist & knows Wakes, WS - Berkeley in
1959. Also met Dr. R. Tarkil who has recently returned
from 3 years in Nigeria. There was good discussion following the
seminar. Then I started to work on the mouse specimens.
