went to the neighbor's home and he gave us food & more meat (I was almost dead that I survived it). This gave me a total catch of 7 mice, but I was lost. A common motif in much of the local landscape is an alpine white flower called Edelweiss (= Snow). Wtchek's friend also showed me a love-drawn carriage which he was making (almost finished). It was a beautiful hand-crafted job. This couple also folk dance during weddings & they played me a record (Polska II) of Wedding tunes.
Dancing shoes of local style somewhat similar to tap dancers are called "Klapce".
Then we drove back into the Park, this time into the eastern Tatras to Morskei Ojo which is a beautiful deep lake at 1400m. elevation. The name of this lake (Porozi) means "eye of the sea". We had lunch at the lookout by the lake. Again one is supposed to walk in the boat 2 or 3 hours but as we had permission & itinerary we were short of time we drove all the way to the lookout. After lunch he walked all around the lake. It was fabulous scenery & a row out of fishers at the beginning. The lake has no native trout & introduced salmon. Fishing is not allowed.
The road to Morskei Ojo goes along the Czech border for quite a few hours. We drove back to Krotkor stoping in a small village when Wtchek wanted to get some shoes for his own size feet but we found that the shop was only selling to village residents. (This was
