Sept. 7 cont.

16.30) because I room equipment for tuna. So at
1500 Krystyna & I took bus to Place Wilson
for Polish pizza. Then she went shopping & I took
bus back to hotel, arriving about 16.30 This was
my first opportunity to write some notes & wash clothes.
Tonight was my first chance so far to try dinner on
my own; I managed for $t 140.
Sept. 8
At 09:30 met at Hotel of Anna Dobrowolska
of Dept. of Vertebrate Physiology of Warsaw Univ.
She suggested her take a taxi to the Univ. Discussed
her work on roles with her. She has measured
&-globulin levels throughout cycle from birth to still
Poland. Also analyzed age, density, sex etc. effects.
She has also done electrophoresis of transferrin alleles
in M. carolis as well as Apodemus agrarius & flavicollis.
Had good discussion with the head of her Dept., Prof.
Jarusz 5:11. He works on Physiology of Livers,
& is also active in organizing conferences on liver
biology. He is also consultant to IUCN Survival
Series Comm. on tarpons, gray seals in Baltic, &
world liaison. He thinks his surname derives from French
"G:/10" and comes from Napoleonic times. Then met 2
girls working on diurnal rhythms in chickens: interaction
with radiation, corticosteroids, and immunological
