Warbling S:IVertill (Lonchura malaberic) - they have been seen a large flock of them or said to Hule Polokuk at ~ 7000 ft.; possibly from Lon. junculate. * R:calird -(Lonchura junculata) - 10+ on 26/10 + possibly seen or said to H.Poloku, see above. Cardinal - com. along Hana Kua coast. * Hawaiian Hawk - 5 - 1 dr + 2 ft., these birds on W side of Mauna Kea (mi. north 44 from Hilo on Saddle Rd.). 2 ft. then along Hamakua Coast, one at 25 mi. N Hilo 18 from Hilo + other [illegible] miles [illegible], also large gull. European Skylark - com from Waimea, along Saddle Rd up to Hule Polokuk Rd. to ~ 9500 ft. Chickadee - sev. seen or heard every day up + down to Hule Polokuk Ced.j. Quail - cloud around Pohakuloa to sea fog all the way up to Hule Polokuk; once seen together like Checkers R:ip-winked Phasian - 1 (near Waimea) Japanese Quail (Coturnix) - 1 doE ~ 7000 ft. on Rd. to Hule Polokuk. H.Pohokuk * Gray Francolin (Francolinus hardicerianus) - 1 fbr. * Black Francolin (F. francilinus) - 2 dr + 4+6 respctivly mi.: W of Pohakuloa on Saddle Rd. (Mar 22) Turkey - 2 ~ 8000 ft on H.Pohokuk Rd (Mar.21) Rock Dove - 2 (both white) in H:10 + 2 possibly also seen on Waimea airstrip. mockingbird - 1 (Pohakuloa) * Japanese White-eye (Zosterops) - 2+ (1 singing on Hale
