Then went to Hale Poho.
9400' - 1 hrs
9200' - 7 mns
Only could locate 4/1 of the traps at 9200'. Left
at 1025 for H:10. Picked up 50 lbs of dry ice at
68 St Prov Co. The Towel had ordered for us (it due to
the phone - from Honolulu). Bought some more groceries,
and lunch, + headed back for Pohaku Loa about 1300.
Worked until ~1600 processing mice. About 1645
left for Hale Poho. 1700-1730 checked + located
8 traps at 5400 ft. + added 1 more sk = 9. Saw a
Mns along trail line. It had hauled down by a spinner
and went up mountain (then turned from saddle and
low ridge to set trap for considerate advantage). He:2+
he piled deeply in places and around Hale Pohoa most
numerous trees had been accumulated under them
+ some of our traps were sitting - hail. This time
we found all traps set at 9200', or next a few new ones.
Totals: 32 sk. + 12 downstyle = 44, but 2^sh
mice so only 42 left set. By the time we got
back to Pohaku Loa it was dusk. Checked traps + then
it was getting dark by the time to get home. Located 11
down traps inside (6 inside a den of Hana: in down line
by cloud). Caught only 1 Mlny Mns + it was dead (hailly
set washed from rain). Along farm, we found 14 of the
15 traps still set there + caught 1 dead Mns.
Proceeded around until seeing dark.
