LIDICKER 1979 18 much cont. (Time). Rental Budget-Rent-a-car (Toyota Corolla) joining waged $ travel agent. Went in to Hilo to buy groceries & styrofoam coolers ($2.99 ea.). Drove N toward Honokaa. Took short side trip to an Akaka Falls. Lott a rain. Arrived at Quentin's home (Quentin & Carolyn, young son Peter) at 1840. Had dinner, nissed his bed & stayed overnight. Birds seen since arriving in Hilo: Spotted Pigeon, Barred Dove, Horn Sparrow, Golden Flower (I saw just starting to molt into spring plumage & 1 completely dangered), Cardinal (car singing & 8 at Akaka Falls), Indigo Bunting (con.), [illegible], 1 small yellowbird near Akaka Falls - family zoostings. Naomi saw a White Ibis team of which we now plan on shooting Hilo. March 19 Went to Quentin's office & work on putting together some Jefferson style down-styled name tags & to pick up some other Stenon tags while we are borrowing. About 10:30 headed for Waima with Quentin driving a state fishing. At Waima we bought some more groceries, & headed SW on Highway 190 to "saddle road" (no.20). Checked at Mauna Kea State Park (6500 ft.), Pohakuloa area, at 1240 (celing no.5). Current manager is Clyde Sarrazon. Had lunch & then went to the Fish & Game facility adjacent to
