July 6 cont.
Muss-like lobs. Some could be mistaken for definite
mornings were seen. We decided to set traps here as
we went to Campocolongo and retrieved all but the 3
traps under the plastic. Set them 7 St. + 5 Muss. Sp.
in the field, sleep on very dry clodhust (~180s).
Then we returned to San Antonio and set our last 5 traps
(live) in a small shed off the main grocery building which
contained good brown signs. Setting 9 traps out:
grazing live sunk
Briosi: 9 5
Zalenda 9 4
campocolongo 3
Cernoba 10
Campascio 7 5
Total 38 + 28 = 66
Had dinner at Pension Naomi in Paschiero. Saw
Red-tailed Slider again at Briosi and Mistle Thrush on 2nd side.

No rain all day! Breakfast at 0800.
Checked traps: steadily grazing - none. Picked up all traps
at Campascio (always awful) and Campocolongo - none.
At Zalenda we had 3 Muss Sp. in sunk traps set in the
hay loft, as we saw 10 live traps in left & picked up 3
in stalls, + 1 by brown lake, +4 in kitchen across the street.
Briosi on 7 traps - hay barn we had 1 dead + 1 live Muss;
also 4 live traps around 3 snares. On the centre across the
street we had 1 tiny microtine (Pitymyss?) in a live trap.
We could not find the neighbour who had set 2 traps before.
Then we climbed the mountain to Carenna to pick up our
10 traps in the snowdrift there. Caught 1 Sorex - 12 red
