This was a walk back to the grid (mi 28). Jerry drove on into Liverpool to get more oatmeal so we had him as I bait. Birded around the Mass Creek bottoms & walked back to Ludlum mi 25026 before Jerry got back & picked me up (12:15) We checked traps on our way back. Got 1 # from 27.8 + at 27.9 1# Mx + 1# Cr. No flying along camp road. While I checked grid traps, Jerry and additional crewmen lined out the grid so we can have 7 on the East side (parallel to line 10 & 30 going), 8 on West side, subtracting line dogs on S side for total of 70 + 5 Mmrs. Specific set 30-50 m. away from South ; and on N. side - 50' to 2 m. line traps for total of 7 + 5 mrs. Span at least 50 m. from grid & reflecting to the road.
Back for lunch at 14:00 . At 15:30 we headed out again. Jerry checked grid while I re-set the entire grid, saving virtually every trap & checking bait rate. Jerry on southeast line & also on Northwest at 27.8 + 27.9 mrs. Caught 1 banded Mx # + 1# Cr. on N. crescent camp trap line. Also got 2# Mx. at 27.9 traps. After dinner we headed for the traps ~ 19:45. Checked camp & rod trap first. I moved all 5-# trims to new locations; Jerry used 4/5 # kits & caught 1# Mx. At 27.8, Jerry had 1 Cr. + 1 white-crowned Sparrow ; caught 3# Lb's 5 traps. I moved all 5 # trims. Then we went to 27 mi. south, & back to grid. The grid was
