LIDICKER 1978 My 2nd cast. Cast out, this is almost to size of our grass growth, tom small parts on growing. Mod. wind. Set our grid traps 1330-1440. Did not hear any vocalizations. Jerry set 3 extra traps to hidden in SW corner of grid. Before we left we had caught #1279 at this SW midden. Set 5 days and end of our middens at the "27 mi. site" at 1445-1500. Jerry had metal poles set then with his head full. At "27.8 mi.", we set 10 mus. specs (Swe.) in the woods & returned growing trails. (1500-1515). This is the draw end of the grid (N. side of road) we had 5 mus. spec. and a hidden wild boar trap. We found large volumes of old bear scat, one of which had considerable ice in it, I saw a wild boar sitting right on frozen ground. We also found a recently made nest of dry grass. No cache was found. Later we set 10 mus. sp. (Swe.) along the road to our camp on the Plymorker supply dump, where we have camped before. We moved the trailer Jerry had left along this supply road up to the top of the hill. We got into camp just in time for a rain storm which was partly sleet & lasted until 1900. On drive from Jemts to West Camp, saw two snowmobiles driving along side the road. 1930 - Started out to check traps. Still raining off & on until about 2000. Had a good look at a black chip before leaving camp. Left grid until last. Camp now
