LIDICKER 1977 June 17 cont. Chimney Swift Brown Thrasher -1 Catbird Starling Gt. Blue Heron -3 (NCL) Rubi Homer Spinner E. Crow Stanton Hark June 18 Visited with Palmers, the NCL & I flew to Lansing, Michigan (North Central Airlines), leaving Milwaukee 1650 & arriving 1855. Don Christian picked us up at the airport & took us to the dormitories at Mich. State Univ. June 19 - 23 American Society of Mammalogists meeting in East Lansing. Naomi left early in the morning of the 23rd to drive to Chicago with the Bryan Glass's to see the King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum. I flew back to Milwaukee late afternoon. Naomi's brother (Hikaru) drove her to Milwaukee that evening arriving about midnight. June 24 Visited with Palmers in Wauwatosa, got minor repairs (oil change) on car, and visited Milwaukee Museum. Only birds of note: Cardinal, Homer Warbler. June 25 - Left with Palmers & I left home, & headed N for their cabin on Lake Superior near Ontonagon, Michigan. Their cabin is a few miles W of Ontonagon, ~1 mi. past the Potato River. Arrived in the afternoon. June 26-29 - Vacationed on Lake Superior.
