LIDICKSON 1977 May 23 cont - Glass Creek Storage area to the S. When we finished the trailer [illegible] (we have camped in this storage area last year), returned to the p: chief. 1730-45 - checked live traps at 27 mi, + 27.5 mi. : 1 M.x 8 of the finest. The checked grid traps. Returned to our camp for dinner + some time do with field notes. 2210-25: checked traps all at 27 mi. Snap traps had: Jerry - M.x - 2# + 1 # + 1 W2. cr. Squirrel. Q Led - 1 Mx. #, 2 clothier wings mutilus + 1 junco. 2230: live traps at 27.5 - working 2235-2140 : snap traps at 27.8 mi. - Jerry: Mx.- (#, 1#; 2 Led = M.x - # + 1 # + 2 C. mutilus. 2245-2330 - checked grid traps + some more lines. Still 2 M.x (#, 1#) = snap traps on S. side. 2330-45 - checked field traps. Q Led Mx (2#, 1#), + 2 M. oconomus (?). 2 #. Jerry had 1 M.x (4) + 2 C. mutilus. On his live traps he had 2 Mx which were released. We set out to camp just before 2:30 a.m, + got to - camp ~ 0025. Weather was mostly clear & cold. Mosquitos were there so only - checked places + mice = later afternoon. Sunset ~ 2305 was great with 360° of colored sky. It was still quite light when we went to bed, & it never did get dark. May 24 - Rain during night turning to sleety or tiny the time we got up it was snowing beautifully. The car windows were buried at least ½' - some of it
