LIDICKER 1977 May 21 cont. - Lake Minchimerka We found the end of the morning or continued along the slope to explore when there was a small lake behind a gravel bar + div. off: in two tall rigid trees on the airstrip. 1830 - Set 17 hrs. spec. (10 gray + one 17) = green + willow behind this small lake - seen M.O. sign but mostly old. Weather was mostly clear, cool, a beautiful horsquitos not bad except around our camp or near dripping area when they have plenty of it. Cut through woods to airstrip & the walked day and had to clearing with relay site. 1930 - Set 6 additional nest dates = green eye making total of 18 there. Total of 95 trips out. Checked 12 no trips previously set = green + red 4 more (1945) Mx. - old φφs on the 10 hrs. spec. green trips had 1♀ Mx + 1 spring day. 1950 - Checked 10 edge traps - 3 Mx old φφ's 2000 - check space or link traps: space - 1 Mx φ = #2 trap + 4 Clothierong nestlins (all = Mx. numps + on a trip out by bushcrab coming back easting), link - 3 Mx (1♂+2♀), 2115 - checked 15 hrs. sp. = link - nothing. 2015-2115 - Set up camp + had dinner. We caught by the stream because we needed water, but the stream was the color of strong tea, + had strange foam when it broke little water falls. We drank it anyway. 2130 - checked 5 hrs. sp. on green knoll - nothing. + came with 18+10 ground traps. Also nothing = edge traps. 2145 - Checked space or link front lines again.
