Aug. 28 cont.
Starting on the carcasses and pulling off thick chunks of meat.
At about 1500 we headed out again and at 15:15-25 set 5 more net traps along the back road near our fishing lines. Ran the primary net traps then a well, non-baiting etc., moving several to newly locations. Caught 1 cod & C.r.. Jerry does not see any net traps on other side caught 1 M.x. in tow trap.
I did take some photos of the fish & 1 of the delicacies along the trophies.
1540 - Set 5 more traps ~ 1/2 mi. further up along back road. 1550-16:05 - checked 4 trophy lines & re-set at 27 mi (this is really at ~ 27.5 mi.). No fish in each trap but saw their cages & lines trap. 16:05-17:15 - checked traps on spring trail near grid while Jerry set on last 5 traps in same area. Ran grid toward visibly seeing trap into new location, checked baited other nearby etc. Ran N current line stick his ski/Mark earlier. Got back to camp ~ 1725. Jerry & I transported the 2 dead hogs from the back road lines, while I worked some roots.
Total of 219 traps set.
Had dinner & then at ~ 19:15 headed for trophies. Went to fetch one at 26.2 mi. honkit first. On my 5th sk. & led 1 M. acconomus which I picked up to bring back alive. Jerry led 1 C.r. & his which he released, we met the dog. At the 27 mi. marker he led (1920) 2 cod, M.x. caught together - with fish. These were killed for autopsies. Then we went to
