Birds seen from Wells to Wells: Sage Thrasher - con. - lower slopes Baird's Thrasher - 1 seen in dry sage; light reddish brown dorsally on tail, yellow eye; very faintly spotted breast (almost clean breast no white on tail: still like Sage Thrasher. Horned Lark Morning dove N. Night Hawk - mm. (1 heard in daylight) 2 min. dust. hawks (high) turkey vulture (low) red-sh. chicken September Lewis's Woodpecker Lone Wren rock wren (mid. elev.) robin Olives - larked thrush (and 1 song weeks thani, Montana yellow warbler (con.)
