Then we crossed the border, having some difficulty finding the official, & drove to San Diego. We went to The 138 house next to the S.Diego State campus where we had stayed on the way down (Mary Murphy in charge). Here we had dinner, 3 of us took showers, & we left Roy Koford & Dave Krohen there to spend the night. The remaining 2 of us continued on North. We drove to N.J Los Angeles & stopped to camp in a quarry off the road to Ventura at (cell 121) near Castaic jet. It was about 0030. Dec 19 Got up 0700 - quite cold night.
