LIDICKER 1965 (June 29 cont.) at the Nine Pipe Rest Wildlife Refuge. Here we saw: Horned grebe - 1 (in breeding plumage) West. goshawk - saw. St. blue Heron Red-tail - com. mule deer coot jacob's We arrived ~ Missoula ~ 1830 & went to Bob & Sally Hoffman's home where we stayed over-night. June 30 Visited Hoffmans & Univ. of Montana. Saw Phil Wrights & met Dick Teuber. Left town ~ 1830 & drove to Hamilton (S. on US. 93) where we spent the night in a motel. July 1 Cont. S. on US. 93 & crossed Bitterroot Mtns. Saw 2 marmots [flaviventris] near pass. into Idaho. 10 mi. N of jet way [illegible] side road to May we saw a pronghorn. 2 miles before Stanley (NE) we saw a colony of ground squirrels which were similar to columbian [ut] jelder; we found one individual dead on the road & since it was in good condition we saved it (# 2917); it was a J not in breeding colour. Near top of Galeana summit we saw a BOR M. flaviventris. 4 mile S of Ketchum we
