LIDICKER 1974 Dec 15 cont. calling (from: US Angle) from a truck mile ~15 ft. down, on a slope, a small pond. This was ed room. While investigating this brook pile we noticed four mist the leaf and saw a Dave Bradford shortly found a Batrachops, This started a frantic search for about 25 min. throughout the area. Eschrick & Glancy each found an old trail specimen for a total of three. There were all in moist areas under nothing large rocks. Birds seen were Oak Pheasant at Oak Crossing: Second day Song Sparrow (Eschrick) W.L. ca. Sparrow Mt. Cl: chicken Red h. Hawk worm - tit Oryza juncus. w. B[illegible] Bluebird Ruby cr: Kinglet - 1 (Eschick) Lots of September holes in the & apple trees Then we continued down the mountain to Melody Ranch. km under 28 = 0.3 mi/s from Oak Crossing. The Melody Ranch is about 14 mi. land from Oak Crossing. About 1 1/2 mi. past Melody Ranch we turned N on the road to Mike's Sky Rancho. We stopped briefly at Mike's Sky & filled our water tank. Then we continued N. toward Valle de la Trinidad. It is ~18 1/2 mi. from the turnoff to Mike's. S 1/2 mi. W of the Sky Ranch we saw a lookout from the road in front of us - it was an excellent view. The road is quite passable, after Rancho San Antonio (~12.5 mi. from Mike's) the country opens up a bit +
