Among the 12 P. maculates from Ponte Bende just in 3 eggs, 4 compound & double colt[?]s. Then we saw adult & immature pairs & f[?] ♀ ad., int. 19g + ♂ ad. 21.8g ♀ ad., [illegible] farm, visib[y] frong, 21g + ♂ ad 19.2g At 1100, picked at dry th[?]lin - nothing here we caught under A newly torn. We left camp at 1125. Birds seen around camp : Hitcher R Shrike - 1 Undulant Dark-eyed Junco Fox Sparrow - 1 Sander Jay Mt. Cl. chickadee - 12+? Peggy Nuttall - 20+ Oregon Junco Humit Thrush - 20+ Then we drove to Oak Crossing where the others had just gathered up their traps. Bird[?] had caught a cl. junco. About 1/4 mi. down trail to La Grulla is Oak Pasture. This is a grove oaks, with 4 apple trees, a spring & grove area, all together a lush oasis. We looked carefully for micr[?]s signs or new road. This would be a good place to try for showe[r]. Also softer signs are abundant. A bit when we were going to leave, I had a dog
