Baja California Trip.

Left Berkeley at 0930 with Pete Eschrich,
Roly Kopald & Larry Riggs in MV2 camper truck.
In Tracy we stopped at Long bait as a feed store.
Then we continued down I-5. It was very cold
& foggy (mostly light) most of the way. We stopped
for dinner just N. of Los Angeles (Castaic). Then
we went on to San Diego. We arrived at the
house rented by the Caled-Calif IBP program near the
campus of San Diego St. Univ. (5615 Hardy Ave). B: 11
Glenn made the arrangements for us over there to meet
us. We arranged with him & Dave Bradford (former
MV2 student) to meet the 5th member of our party
Dave Krohne in Tijuana on Weds. 11 Dec.
On the trip down to San Diego, the only live
animals we saw were Sparrows: Los Grachy's, Dot was
Striped skunk & Lynx californicus. Birds noted:
Tawny - con. Hens Sparrow
Rock Dove Loggerhead Shrike - con.
Red-tail Hawk - one + resident. hawks
Mountain Bluebird - 1 Coot
Turkey Vulture resident gulls
Horned Lark - few
Woodpecker - con. Ring-necked Pheasant - 1 (Koford)
Red-winged Blackbird Marsh Hawk - 1 (Koford)
