March 5 cont.
At 1 ate a dried berry, & the John tried to reach one.
About 2 min. later I heard him land briefly
at the singing feeder.
March 12 (1904) - 3+ visits by horn-bills. At
first visit observing, the second bird sat on a twig
about 8" away from the first on the sport. The
second bird then stayed for an unusually long time
on the sport - taking at least 5 trips.
March 14 (0915) - NIL reports 2 bouts of feeding by
horn-bills (first b/ 6 trips & second b/ 3). Then
drinking not the first drinks as both were clearly
feeding when first noticed. Both seemed very "relaxed"
relative to the way they used to be.
March 8 (12:15) - NIL saw 4+ feeding bouts by horn-bills.
March 17 (1829) - A horn-bill went to feeder once once
for 2 visits; Sales phone, H. ~12 ft. away.
March 19 (1910). Three visits to feeder & horn-bill
(they be only 1 bird as about 30 sec. between visits
instead of almost minute's replacement - before
when 2 were alternating).
March 20 (0852-3) - 3 quick visits by horn-bill(s).
April 1 (1921) - a horn-bill at feeder. Went once,
took 3 trips, & the second singing.

April 27 - S. D. Jewel Lake, Loop trail & Bear Laurel Canyon
in the morning. Birds seen.
