it went to the feeder twice, getting 1 rip each time. P.v. of lurren-kits were calling in the vicinity.
Jan 29 (1719) - N/L recorded a chicken taking 5 rips from the feeder.
Feb. 8 (0845-50), 44 °F. When kits went to feeder 8 times in quick succession (probably 2 birds involved). Each time the bird took only 1 rip & left healthy - seemed to be nervous. Then an S female H, in the vicinity & was agitated. It boldly threatened the lurren-kit(s) during the first 2 of the 8 rips. It fed at the feeder between rips 5 & 6, & also later. A 9 female also fed shortly after the lurren-kits left. Anne & I moved down closer than 2 feet from the Wmn kit.
Feb 9 (1800) - P.v. of lurren-kits came to feeder & in quick succession fed 8 times. They appeared to be taking turns & took 1 or 2 rips each time. Then they moved off in the opposite direction from which my observed.
(1819) Wmn-kit at feeder again - 3 brief visits.
Humming complaining nervy but does not attack.
(1825) - Quick visit by lurren-kit.
