LIDICKER 1973 Kensington Calif. (108 Willow Lane) July 26 - Hummingbird feeder: 1825 (sunny). One chicken came to feeder & took several sips. July 27 (1912) - sunny. Chickens to feeder; took several sips. Aug 27 (1930) 64°F. Chickens at feeder; took 3 sips & left. St Anne H. in vicinity while watched but did not approach the chickens. Sept. 9 (1900) 62°F. Chickens to feeder, took 2 sips & was chased off by Annie hummingbird. Returned, took 3 more sips & then flew off. Sept. 11 (1837) 5-90°F. Chickens at feeder for sev. sips. Oct. 1 (1825) 5'5"F. Chickens & St Anne H. around the feeder & aggressively engaging each other. As chicken approached, Annie retreated to perch about 1 ft. away; chickens stayed ~ 1 ft. away & they looked at each other. Annie H. then went to feeder & drank while the chickens watched; then she hummed to a perch & chicken went immediately to the feeder & drank while humming watched. Before chicken finished, the hummer left (another chicken also left immediately). Oct. 7 (1030) 57°F, light rain. Chickens feedfed by feeder & then fed at ground. While feeding a St Anne H. arrived & hovered about a foot away for a few seconds. Chicken then left & the hummer drank at the feeder. It looked
