Ch: chuker went to hummingbird feeder, took 2 info + left; no humans in evidence. 1420 67°F one Ch:chuker went briefly to feeder, July 18 1925 69°F. (sun on Hemsworth) one Ch: chuker went to feeder, drank several times while perched on the sfont. Sagehen Creek Field Trip 24-26 July July 24 Left 11:30 to drive to Sagehen Creek Field Sta to work with Steve Smith on his Ch:finch project. Ar. ~ 1515 & talked w/ Van Hawthorne & Marshall White. Ar. on grid to find Steve Lord at work ~ 1615. We worked without a lunch until 2115. Then returned to the Sta. for a sandwich before Lord. July 25 Worked all day with Steve on his grzich. Watched Ch:finches etc. & Am mostly at by both morning. Began running grid traps. This time we returned to Sta ~ 2100, but we took time out to cook a dinner. July 26 Worked on grid mostly watching until 11:30. Returned to Sta., Staved & said goodbye to Marshall. Left, Sta. but stopped along the Basin rd to have lunch. Finally got arriving 0100 at ar. home 1615. (cont. for bird list)
