Birds seen on or around the island:
Brown Pelican - 15+
Belt. Cr. Night Heron - 15+ (morning - backings on E side +
fading on mud flats = 10m)
Melland - 20+
Less Scamp - (
Song Scotr - 30+
Red R. Hawk - 1 (being harassed by a gull)
Celly Devil - 20+ (including 1+ birds of clut 12)
Phoenot - 15+
Killdeer - 15+ (including 1 yq. seen)
Bllk Gallin Glover - 14
Ruddy (?) Turnstone - 1
Willot - 30+
Wm: land. poop - 1
Western Bull - many
Hermann's Bull - 1
Caspian Tern - 40+ (many on headland very out getty)
Redwing - 30+
Hen Firecl - cloud
Aw. Goldfinch - 12+
Wh-cr. Sparrow - common
Song Sp. - cloud
Noticed that where old channel cuts across fill & jetty, a
nice Salicomic must be going up behind some low dunes
evidently just thin to completely close channel. Two small ponds
we also noticed that Sandrasia were
were also created in this way about 1/2th foot water parts.
