LIDICKER 1973 April 30 cont. Control grid i nothing Again we caught a Physoglossum on the control grid, but see on - this are very thin so there except very morning. On the tracked grid, I can see a Skate trap she near one. It was not so windy tonight as last so we much more pleasant cooking eating dinner. May 1 Got up 0545 & had breakfast. It was still calm so if wind effects trapping results we should have a much bigger catch today than the previous two. We then picked up both grids. Catch (all receptors): tracked grid - D. varicini -3 P. hani cillatus -1 P. longiambis -1 + 1 Ute Control grid = D. varicini -3 So there was a decrease in captures rather than an increase & no unwanted cars were taken. As we were carrying the traps off the control grid, Kristin Berry arrived to help us carry the traps back to Chime Lake. We talked to her earlier, finished packing up the tents & broke camp. We left for home at 1045. It was a very warm day on the desert. Saw 35K which still near Wescs. Arrived home ~ 1740.
