LIDICKER 1973 (16 march cont.) other birds in vicinity March 17 48° F. 10:50 AM (pt. cloudy) 3 hummers around chasing each other. 1 Chickadee Went to feeder & leisurely drank several times. One hummer attached chickadee from so close it may have touched chickadee, but latter ignored hummer, drank once more & then flew off. March 18 11:25 50° F. One Chickadee flew directly to feeder, drank 3 times & flew away. No hummers noted during the time, but many had been around all morning. 12:35 52° F. Another visit by Chickadee - no hummers in evidence. Feeder under observation almost continuously from ~11:00. April 27 Although the feeder has been continuously in operation to this date, & a pair of Chickadees is currently feeding & brooding a nestbox in the yard, o further utilization of the feeder by Chickadees has been observed.
