LIDICKER 1973 Kensington court. 24 Feb. 1620 55°F. Cl: chidder came to hummingbird feeder or trash can. 3 sips; another Cl: chidder waited in back ready. When first left it immediately went to feeder & took several sips. 3 Dove Hummer came while second Cl: chidder was drinking. It showed its wings 5" of Chidder - in small bursts - which at first agitated hummer and then flew off. Hummer also left; did not feed. March 2 0830 42°F. Chidder came close to hummingbird feeder, took 3 sips & flew off. March 6 50°F. 0836-42 Flock of 3+ Cl: chidder feeding in yard. After about 3½ min., 1 Cl: chidder came & fed momentarily at the feeder. They were calling actively and chasing each other. No hummers were around during this interval but one present shortly before & after. 0848 - Flock came through yard again but did not go near feeder. Weather: just cloudy following rain during night.
