Dicker 1972 Orkney Birdlist Count. Lapwing - abrd. Razor-billed Ant - 2 fair Black Guillemot - 15+ Wood Pigeon - 2+ Rock Dove - com. Collared Turtle Dove - 2 Skylark - sev. (also seen singing) Raven - few Hooded Crow - com. Rook - 20+ Jackdaw - 20+ Blackbird - com. Wheatear - 1 Rock Pipit - sev. Starling - abrd. Thrush - few Chiffchaff - 2 Wren - 1 Horned Sparrow - com. Red Bunting - 20+ Grey Seals were seen in large numbers, est. near Wyre (along 5W shores) of N. Ireland, dont 50 were seen on one occasion. Who cloud they looked + have like dolphins. Occasional individuals seen elsewhere. Some birds seen in vicinity n Erling (S. of Munich), West Germany. 13-16 April Black-headed Gull - com. Herring Gull - few Tawny Owl - 1 heard only (identified by George West) Com. Snailor - few mute Swans - sev. Mallard Coot - also lots of waterfowl seen at See Wison (K. Loring's lake) + Australie Black Swan - 6 (at Ammersell) Wood Pigeon - few
