18 March cont.
Waited at the airport until 1715. Luckily two planes arrived, the first left for Glasgow, & the second which we got on, for Aberdeen. The airport at Aberdeen had also been closed for several days & was open only briefly today. Our plane just got in (1805); the London plane has waiting. We transferred quickly & took off ~1825 about 7 schedule & as the fog was getting thicker rapidly.
Arrived Heathrow 2035. It was almost 2300 by the time I got home via tube underground.
