LIBICKER 1971 Oct.28 cont. around Dolgue. Drive to Nimes, then to Uzes, & Avignon. Stopped for dinner in Remoulins on our way back to Dolgue. Oct.29 Left Dolgue for Marseilles via Nimes & Arles. Arrived in Marseille at dusk and eventually found hotel room. Rain in morning. Oct.30 Drive N to southern suburbs of Paris. Stayed at Hotel Alboris Thiais. Oct.31 Drive into Paris & around it on circular route to west, then on to Beavais & Boulogne. Took Havrecraft at 1530 to Dover & continued on to London, arriving about 2000. Mileage covered for entire trip - almost 2100 miles. Birds seen on trip: Little Egret - com. in Camargue Grey Heron - 30+ Camargue Flamingo - 2 flocks seen in Camargue (W.side); 1 M 140 + 1 M 16 resident, ducks - several thousand seen in Camargue but most were too far out to identify. Mallard - 300+ - Camargue Shoveller - 1 pt. . Shelduck - 15+ . Buzard - 8+ in Camargue (all very dark) +
