Here we got on the M4 which we followed to (Wiltshire). its and just N of Cliftonlamp along country road near Cl.Melton we stopped in a pub for a third snack; it was about 1900. Encountered some Buzzards, Jack-daws, Magpies, etc. Continued on into London arriving at Helen's place in Hounslow. He stopped briefly for coffee + chat with her husband John. The rest of the drive home to N. Finchley, arriving about 2215. Skomer Island Trip 8 Oct. to 11 Oct. Oct. 8 Left N. Finchley 0615 with Peter Jewell (Zool Dept., Univ. Coll.) + drove west on the M40 to Banbury & then Wolverhampton + Walsall. It was quite foggy early in the morning, but we arrived in Blackheath in time for the morning rush hour.
