At 14N we headed for London, stopping briefly in Hereford last for petrol + a few presents for the kids. At Carmarthen we turned S& then Swansea, following the A48 through Cardiff to Newport. Here we got on the M4 which we followed to (Wiltshire).
its and just N of Cliftonlamp along country road near Cl.Melton we stopped in a pub for a third snack; it was about 1900. Encountered some Buzzards, Jack-daws, Magpies, etc. Continued on into London arriving at Helen's place in Hounslow. He stopped briefly for coffee + chat with her husband John. The rest of the drive home to N. Finchley, arriving about 2215.
Skomer Island Trip

Left N. Finchley 0615 with Peter Jewell (Zool Dept., Univ. Coll.) + drove west on the M40 to Banbury & then Wolverhampton + Walsall. It was quite foggy early in the morning, but we arrived in Blackheath in time for the morning rush hour. Had lunch near Bletchley, Beds. From Harpendon went on directly to Marlborough + Martins Haven where we arrived about 1430. On way saw Collard Dene, Goddick, Cawdor Lodge, etc. At Martins Haven met Peter's
& Buzzards, etc.
