I went for a long walk to the South I did while we
were waiting for Terry Davies to arrive at the inn.
I also took quite a few photos. It was a little windy &
a bit hazy, especially early in the morning, but still sunny &
we were optimistic that Terry would come. Some birds seen:
Stock Dove - 2
Carrion Crow - 6+
Jackdaw - 2
Oryg. thrush - catch - 2
Pied Flycatcher - 1
Wren - 1, Shallow - saw.
Raven - 1
K: Hirundo - 300+
Gannet - few
Skylark - saw.
Winchat - 2
Spotted Flycatcher - 1
Whinchat - 1
Chough - 2 (the pair led
home around 4 o'clock, but this was the first time I saw them).
I got excellent views on 3 occasions; watched the forage
from rock out crop to next crop, feeding the crocker with their

But had to conform for coffee at 11:00. Barry showed me a
lame young Stormy Petrel which he took from a nest in
a rocky rock wall. Terry finally came at about 11:40. The
tide was low but he came into South Haven. He finished off about
11:50, & after a much more pleasant journey back arrived
at Mont. Isolation at 12:45. On route saw few new Bernett's
crow species:
2 Sandwich Terns, 1 Chough, 1 Longwing, 1 Raven.
At 13:00, we headed for the Lobster Pot & metres for lunch.
John Morgan left us, as some relatives were at the Haven to
meet him.
Then we are another bird - waddler on the island with
