March 28
Another warm, sunny day. Picked up my trap
first + then Longwells. Caught:
a. 7 (+1 caught last night) g. 5-+1 Gerrhontus released
b. 1 h. 4 (1 caught last night)
c. 5+1 running i. 5
d. 5 j. 4
e. 5
f. 3 +1 occ. & running = 47 soup trapped
Longwells - W. bank - 22 (2 dead)
grid am - 50
78 live trapped
Total catch = 78 live trapped, 47 soup trapped (45 saved),
+ 2 caught by snake = 128 (only 1 of which
was hungry; then than any were checked for pulse color.)
This should give total ~ 119 species saved.
Small haddocks were seen + about 15 Centre
Stream - the latter in relatively thin water. Blue fish
feeds them. Liddick took back plant samples for
later food choice experiments with micro-s.
M.-u. was seen abundantly & obviously as very
dense cloud - fallop seed hundred / acre.
No definite net sign seen that we fed, +
