LIDICKEN 1969 shivered until about 10:15 p.m. & then had a short discussion of various kinds of traps & nest sites in the lounge. But it took a little earlier than last night. Oct. 26 Picked up all traps, starting locally. I got nothing in mine. Again it was a cold frosty morning but some weren't that yesterday. Temperatures during the night must have dropped again to about 20° F or less. In the rock out crop in N camp we caught only 2 P. monachalis. In the regular monachalis area abundant, so many were caught. Rod Jackson & I had a bin of 40 small stones & we caught 11 monachalis + 1 M. crotona. Three of the monachalis was released to the remaining 4 bins as we thought best & gave to Rosengren - Psychology. The Boulder field produced 1 P. monachalis & a beautiful Newtonia cinnamona. Susan K. Stiles caught a Sowerbytownia deweyi near the top of the ridge N. of camp. A small amount of skimming was done before we cleaned up, but found another camp. Patton caught a mole in a gopher trap at K:1m. Meadows. Left about 14:15 for the drive back. Localities: Sycamore Stz. - 3½ mi. NW Horned Mills, 6400 ft., Nevada Co. rock out crop. - 3½ mi. W, 2½ mi.
