LIDICKER 1969 Aug 22 Came to several new boxes to ship. Baxter gave us his 3 'hot' challenge incubators and Vince & I filled + I got long cell cultures before we froze them. Also received 2 lots before our from yesterday. Also a wounding Petri dishes from Mamum Island we injected a mammal culture media. The we one Sgt Cogges brought back + they were feeling it somewhat with. Also last night it avidly the few jars. We killed it because it had suddenly developed catarracts - both eyes (20. 3183). The Alpha Helix left Mawana at noon. I went to Makung for refueling. Finished working on animals after lunch + then wrote a letter home. At 1500, Sibley, Brock + I went into town. I got my ticket endorsed at Arnett for the trip home, went to post office when we tried unsuccessfully to call Bill Packow + P.t. Marshy (W.S. Packow, Box 783, St. Marshy - how phone 55177). Then we went to the ship. I just came species in the freezer on board + found that my trunk of species had been stored on its end. Rectified this will help captain. Went to civil yard on way home. It was too late to get ashore by the time we got back to Mawana. Tilled, read + showered + evening. Went to bed early. Aug 23 Wrote letter to Mr. W.L. Corvey, Director of Dept. of Agric, Stock & Fishery - Port Marshy
