Vince set out in late afternoon to new mist nets
in forest for bats. Talked to Greene + Jane briefly.
They were very interested in the lower. After dinner
I skinned a Parasites longicauda (no. 3147)
that Greene had brought in on Aug. 10 from the
Sanctuary. To bed about 2220. Saw 4 Mus. spc. in Dave's
room by net door.
Aug. 14
Checked drop by R:ve forest. Had 1 cd. of Hydroge
chrysogaster set trap out along edge of river &
bailed with banana. On other semi-idyllic block
set trap was empty, None of the other traps had
trapped. Brought Hydroge back a took a bit of lung
for cell culture but I think he was probably dead too
long. Vince got some blood out of the heart though.
Then I checked by forest traps. Caught nothing.
Skinned Hydroge, 2 Parasites + 2 Echizenia
The latter 2 were brought in caught in owl fly
traps. Talked to Greene regarding the Parasites skinned
closed right & he gave me the locality date. During
the afternoon, caught a stork (no. 3153) in one of the
4 Mus. spc. traps and last night in Dave's room they
caught nothing overnight. At about 1530
