Down George came by briefly also. Finally got to bed ~ 22:15. Heard Donovan flicking around - truly have both tonight & last night.
13 Aug.
Felt pretty good today. After lunch just checked traps again. Caught nothing. Studied skinning some of morning's catch & took bats. Quite a few were frozen without skinning, & 1 Syconyctis was released. At lunch up in the house & he felt it fair-weatherly & ate avidly. Also skinned the one of Macropus taken from this camp (on Aug 5). After lunch I found a dead Rattus (mader complex) in the house. It had been dead some time so made complete skeleton of it, it (~314g); it had punctures on each side of its chest so was probably caught by a dog or cat.
Also a Echimys was brought in this afternoon, caught in 1 of our large collapsible traps. I also skinned it. Set out 17 more Shrew traps - forest along stream where Vince & I had set last night. I also rocketed on other 17 traps in that locality.
Then cast 12 rat traps (snap traps) baited w/banana along the edge of the river where we saw tracks in the mud. Then set 10 Shrew's in tall cane grass (
