LIDICKON 1969 The Rattus (3) from Passam Ayrlic. Sto. were all taken in buildings. The Pogonomyx taken by Zwiefal (no. 3118) was caught by hand 5-6 ft. up in a creping at night in garden vegetation. Aug. 9 Skinned a Pogonomyx of another species from Tambak collected by Rollin Bauer (no. 3119), and a captive Dactylopsila from Bangor River (no. 3120). Noted that its eyes are very well protected by the zygomatice arches. In afternoon went to Yaganum Sulphur Cave with Frank Talbot. First we collected fish in the stream coming out of the cave - using water one. We got a good collection but seemed to miss the biggest ones. Then we went in the cave and collected 5 more Hipposideros calcotratus for bleeding. Saw 20-30 more individuals. It was wetten in the cave than last time but just a lot of muddly. On the morning I bled the 5 bats and skinned a Pteropus from Ba:teloy plantation which I had earlier gotten (no. 3121). A warm sample from it, it is a different species from the one at Wannam. Got to bed about 2300 but couldn't sleep for long time because of 2 cups of coffee. I had an Alpha Helix during short party which Alan Wilson served - a dessert made out of starch gel & mandarin oranges. Aug. 10 Feel a bit weaker to day. Stuffed the Pteropus.
