L1 DICKER 1965 home to give him my address & to chat awhile. Around 2045 Bill & I headed out to check the nets. This time they contained avg 1 knightrider & 1 Seyongaster. Wadea gathered up some of the numerous scraps. Rattles = the net to feed to our two captive knightriders. Got back 2145 & talked Gamma politics with Meisal until ~2215. Saw a hawk & 9 fruit bats flying - in 9, from now on rest. Aug 30 Got up 0600. Checked new tryping just above waterfalls. Caught avg 1 skink, 2 granzotter, 1 frog, + 1 was chewed & empty. Picked up weaving (1 frog) on ferous-1c line; none of these was even closed. Then checked 12 traps along airstrip. Also nothing. After breakfast Bill accompanied me down the nets to my traps at 1540+1620 ft. Then caught very little. They had retreated so all contained both papaya & star fruit & luscious fruit. Got back up ~1015. Skinned 1 fruit from last night, got some lizards, + skinned 1 of 2 baly pheasants that came in on July 27. Much rain = afternoon. Went up to N end of airstrip to release 12 traps set there (luscious & star/fruit) + cast 11 more traps - that same area, same bait. The 2 came back + ran into Santing, + a result of talk with him we went to little store new house + cast 4-set traps (new from store) in the store for rats, 2 on shelves now got's his units that had not droppings in the boxes + 2 in other new bags of
