Around 2045 Bill & I headed out to check the nets.
This time they contained avg 1 knightrider & 1 Seyongaster.
Wadea gathered up some of the numerous scraps.
Rattles = the net to feed to our two captive
knightriders. Got back 2145 & talked Gamma politics
with Meisal until ~2215. Saw a hawk & 9 fruit bats
flying - in 9, from now on rest.
Aug 30
Got up 0600. Checked new tryping just above
waterfalls. Caught avg 1 skink, 2 granzotter, 1 frog,
+ 1 was chewed & empty. Picked up weaving (1 frog)
on ferous-1c line; none of these was even closed.
Then checked 12 traps along airstrip. Also nothing.
After breakfast Bill accompanied me down the nets
to my traps at 1540+1620 ft. Then caught very little.
They had retreated so all contained both papaya
& star fruit & luscious fruit. Got back up ~1015.
Skinned 1 fruit from last night, got some lizards,
+ skinned 1 of 2 baly pheasants that came in on July 27.
Much rain = afternoon. Went up to N end of airstrip
to release 12 traps set there (luscious & star/fruit) +
cast 11 more traps - that same area, same bait. The
2 came back + ran into Santing, + a result of talk
with him we went to little store new house +
cast 4-set traps (new from store) in the store for
rats, 2 on shelves now got's his units that had
not droppings in the boxes + 2 in other new bags of
