Body 3½", F.Leg. 1", H.I-1".
Description
Head - no ears or eyes visible, snout brown,
a light golden streak extending up between cheeks
and forehead, also some of same color on chin;
Body - head and body hair color a dark brownish
with a green metallic lustre, top of head with
a more coppery brown sheen, below slightly
lighter. Fur very soft and fine.
Forefeet - 3 toes, the first modified into a
large shovel like claw, the second a smaller
claw and the 3rd a small vestigial claw? The
whole foot is mostly a claw for digging.
Hind foot - 5 toes and claws like a little fork,
brown hair on foot, below on pads light and bare.
Tail - none visible.
