A uniform rusty black or very dark brown,
ligher greyish brown below. Very large Crocidura.

A large shrew - same color as C. occidentalis H.
only smaller and slightly darker.

4100', Shortridge, HB-98, TI-51, HF-16, Ear-12.
A pale buffy brown with a slight ruffous tinge,
a band on forehead ∧ shaped, face slightly darker,
below - chest to nose a whitish grey, posteriorly
a yellowish white, tail light, ears pale, feet light.

EX. 603, 1930, Moschi River, Caprivi Strip,
Bechuanaland, S.W.A. (F.N. Boline) no museum
number given, same general size as C. deserti - only
color a bluish grey with a slight ruffous tinge.
