Mus. Elandsriver laten, No. 1444/1, 28 Feb.45, Pringle, ♂ Body 4½", Tail-2½", F. Leg 1", H. Leg 1½" Description Head - Nose long and pointed, brown whiskers about ½" long, a dark rusty brown on top slightly lighter below. Eyes small and bleakly. Ears small with fine hair hardly visible. Body - same as head, a rusty brown above and a grey brown below. Tail - About half as long as body, much thicker at base, scattered long light colored hairs, thick short brown hairs slightly darker toward tip of tail. No bare patch behind or under tail. Fore feet - 5 toes all with Claws, short light brown hair on feet, brown pads. Hind feet - 5 toes and claws.
