Mus. ♀ 11 Nov. 1936, Shortridge, NO.578, Komiesberg (Witwater Plateau).Mamagualand. 3500 'Alt. H-B-126, T1-132, HF-36.5, Ear-30 Personally Collected / Description Head - Snout elongated about 3/4", dark streak along snout, below a narrow gland along snout. A grey-brown above with slaty grey basal hair, chin and neck a fluffy color mixed with white. Ears large-wide, rounded, dark brown, a margin of white hair's along top of ear for 1/2". Very short sparse hairs outside and inside ear. Buff behind ear. Body - A grey-brown with slaty base. Hair quite long and soft. Below a lighter whitish-grey, slaty base. Tail - About same length as body black above slightly light below! Short hairs on tail. Base of tail shaker.
